Introduction
If you are reading this, we know that you are interested in what Osage City has to offer as a community. As the data in this report will show, we are a bedroom community to some of the best communities in Kansas.

Osage City offers the best of small town life while still allowing for a taste of the big city whenever one so chooses. Over the past few years several major projects have been completed in the city including:
- An $11 million improvement to the public schools that included the addition of a new high school, a new performing arts auditorium, and renovation of the old high school into a middle school.
- The opening of Norseman Plastics manufacturing plant in January 2005 after a $6 million investment in equipment and renovation of the old Hallmark manufacturing facility.
- Renovation of the Santa Fe Depot to include meeting space and a railroad museum.
- A $2 million aquatic center that includes a zero depth entry pool, sprayground, and water slide.
- A Medical Arts Plaza that includes a new clinic run by Stormont Vail.
